When to visit Dubai
November to March is peak season — warm days, cool evenings and every rooftop open. April, May and October are quieter and cheaper. June to September is hot, so plan indoor attractions, water parks and evening desert trips.
Getting around
The Metro Red and Green lines cover Downtown, Marina and the airport. Taxis are metered and inexpensive. For Palm Jumeirah, Al Qudra and desert camps, pre-booked transfers or a rental car make far more sense.
What to book ahead
Burj Khalifa sunset slots, Museum of the Future, Aquaventure and premium desert safaris sell out days ahead in high season. Book timed entry early and keep flexible cancellation where you can.
Budgeting in AED
Attraction tickets start under AED 100, mid-range hotels sit around AED 400–700 a night, and a private yacht charter starts near AED 1,200 an hour. Every Dubai.fun booking earns Dubai Points back towards future trips.
Dress code and etiquette
Dubai is relaxed but respectful: cover shoulders and knees in malls and mosques, swimwear stays at beaches and pools, and public displays of affection are best kept private.
